Dear Students and Parents:
This summer, NCCAE will offer a total of 14 classes for you to choose from, rangging from Elementary English Writing, Middle School Reading/Writing, High School SAT preparations, Mathcounts, Mathleagues to Publich speech (1), (2) and Debates/Forensics, to Abacus Math and High School Biology AP.
Last semester we openned two publich speech classes. In the last sessions, Ms. Sands invited 4 of her colleagues in her Toastmaster Team as judges, and she gave the kids opportunity for them to present their ideas and demonstrated their achievements in the class. It's amazing that after 12 sessions of intensive training on public speeches, the students became confidence in front of audience, used their talent, gestures, body languanges, humour, eyecontacts and even magics, to vividly present their ideas, to get their idea across to the audience. You just can't believe that 12 weeks ago, they were so shy that you barely heared what they said. The last session presentation is an actually contest. The judges selected a champion from each classes. The champion for Public speech 2 goes to Angela Zhang, and the champion for public speech 1 goes to Diana Lu. Ms. Sands was well received that some parents mentioned to me she is the best teacher she ever has for her kids.
It's so popular that there is a maximum number of 12 students for each of the speech classes to ensure that students have opportunity in the class to practice. Any registration after 12 students will be put on the waiting list, no exceptions. All of other classes have limited too. So hurry up.
The registration begins now, and $20 registration fee is waived if registered before or on June 8.
XianLi Huang
Principal of NCCAE
